Presley's first sleep over!

I'm a little behind on this, but Presley had her first sleep over last Thursday. Every since I can remember Parker has spent the night with Pa & Nana every Thursday and they decided it was time for Presley to get to come too. I was afraid she would be a little fussy at bedtime because she is a little bit of a momma's girl, but she did great and slept all night. They said she didn't cry once! How lucky are they to have a Pa & Nana that live close and are able and who want to start that tradition with them! They are creating memories that will last a life time.

Please Pray

I just wanted to ask everyone to please say an extra prayer for my cousin Macie. She went in last week for a routine eye exam and the Dr found a spot on one of her eyes he was concerned could be cancer (probably from tanning in tanning beds and not wearing the eye goggles, which I am sure we are all guilty of.) He brought her back in yesterday for further testing and feels better about that spot but still wants to send her to a specialist in Little Rock, but found another spot in her other eye. He called this Optic Nerve Head Drusen, which from my understanding eventually causes blindness. The doctor has invented a new trial drug that she can try so we just pray that this new drug helps! We just pray that this all turns out to be ok and that Macie keeps her spirits up. We know God is in control and he is so good and that only he can heel this precious 16 year old girl. We love you Macie!

Parker Cracks Me Up!!

I just had to write this down before I forgot it. Today we were leaving the gym and it was a monsoon outside! When I picked up the kids in the childcare Parker said "ooh yuck mom, you are sweating." On our run out to the car during the massive downpour he yells "oh no mommy Jesus is sweating all over me too!!" I thought this was hilarious, that he thought the rain was Jesus sweating on him. Oh, how I love that little boy.

Happy Birthday Nana!!

Wednesday we got to celebrate our wonderful Nana's birthday! Parker thought she needed cake of course, so he got to pick a yummy cake and some flowers for her. We met her and Pa and Mike, Jami, & Dallas for dinner at Logans which reminded us with all the kiddos why we usually choose to stay in for dinner! We all had a great time getting to celebrate with Nana and spending time together. Family is the best, and we are so blessed to have such a great one. We hope you had a great birthday Nana and we could never even begin to tell you how much we love you and appreciate all you do for our family. Happy Birthday!!!

Presley's actual Birthday

For Presley's actual birthday we had planned on getting up early before daddy had to go to work to make her breakfast in bed since I have done that every year for Parker. However, since Presley was up from 3:00 am until about 6:30 we thought it might be cruel to wake her up at 7:00. So, she slept until about 9:30 then we just played at home until time to meet daddy at Chuck E Cheese for lunch. After we played there for a while, we came back home where we found the balloons and goodies Pa & Nana sent to the kids (Parker thought this was too cool to get balloons delivered to his house)and we played outside the rest of the afternoon until time to go take pictures with Amber Lanning. Of course we finished off the best part of the day with reading her books which she loves. What a fun and busy day! I still can't believe my baby is 1!! We love you.

Presley's Tut-tu cute 1st Birthday Party!!!

I can't believe we just had our baby girl's first birthday party! We had her party at Scarpino's where the kiddos got to have a little tea party and the girls dressed up in their tutu's & tiara's and the boy's in top hats & ties. They were all so cute in their little get-ups! Presley absolutely LOVED her birthday cake..so much so that she pretty much bathed in it! She was hilarious! Talk about a "hot mess"! Thank you so much everyone who came and helped celebrate our precious little girl's first birthday! (also, I have to say thanks to Steph for making her adorable onesie and shoes and Keri for painting the precious canvas!)
Ok, this is just for me to remember... Presley you are trying to walk...you will walk around the ottoman at home because you know you can catch yourself on it if you start to fall. You are not sleeping well right now because you are coming off your seizure meds..which we are ok with because we are just so thankful you get to stop taking them! You are wearing a size 12-18 month clothes, almost a 3 shoe (you have tiny feet), and just started wearing a size 4 diaper. You say Da-da, bye-bye, no-no, and bite but still No MAMA!!! When are you ever going to say mama or get any teeth?! I don't mind about the teeth, I actually think it still make seem more like a baby not to have any which I love, but I would really like for you to say Mama soon, ok? You are so precious and easy going. You will just sit and cuddle and love forever! You love everybody and will pretty much go to anyone. Even though I think you really prefer you mama or Pa...which Leslie ranks pretty high up there. You also still light up and go crazy when your brother walks in the room. You are just our little "love bug". Your favorite things to eat are bananas, cheese, yogurt, ritz crackers, mandarin oranges, and green beans. Right now you love riding in the car because we just put you in your new carseat Pa & Nana got you and you get to face forward and you love it! Thanks for my new seat Pa and Nana..I love you! Well Miss Presley, we can not even begin to tell you how much we have enjoyed watching grow and learn new things this past year. You truly are such an amazing blessing from God and we thank him each and every day for giving you and your brother to us. We love you more than you could ever know and can't wait for many more birthday's to come! Happy 1st Birthday baby girl!
