Presley's Second Month/Hospital

Wow.. what a worlwind these past couple of weeks have been. It started wonderful.. smiling at 51/2 weeks for the first time. This is truly one of the greatest feelings in life is to see your baby smile at you for the first time. Then at 6 weeks Miss Presley decided to be a little bit of a "Drama Queen" and she put us through the scariest time of our lives and began having seizures. She was admitted into the hospital Friday May 2nd, 2008 and we stayed for five days. They didn't know at first that is was seizures so she had 2 spinal taps, EEG's, EKG's, X-rays, MRI's, Catscans, any test you can think of she had it. Also after being stuck 18 times we had to make the decision to go to surgery to place a port in what we thought was going to be her leg, but after 3 failed attempts they had to place it in her chest so she could receive all her meds and stop being stuck. She even had an Iv in her head at one point... it was pitiful! PRAISE GOD every test came back good and we will probably never know why she was having seizures and can hopefully come off the meds soon! Having a sick baby truly puts everything into perspective and makes you realize what is important in life. Thank you to everyone who came to visit and for all the thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time... We love You!!!
